AFRICAN CENTRED HEALING CIRCLES
Pattigift Therapy are leading the UK drive to offer safe spaces for Black communities to take greater control of their health and wellbeing.
Black Communities are in the grip of two pandemics one new and one ongoing Covid-19, and global systemic racism.
What are they highlighting?
That we have more underlying health conditions than many of us knew,
That we are overrepresented on the frontline,
That we live in areas that are socially deprived, and environmentally poor.
Latest figures show 50% of African heritage communities in the UK are living below the poverty line
Levels of overt oppression and brutality are on the increase.
It highlights a need for us to develop more self-care and focus our attention on Being Well
In these challenging days, one very healthy thing we can do to support our families and communities is to develop adaptable, simple, safe spaces.
And this is where Healing Circles come in Healing Circles allow us to come together to
BREATHE, RELIEVE, RECEIVE, GRIEVE, PERCEIVE, RE-CONCEIVE AND FLOURISH ÓCHN

And for those of you who like a story
There was a farmer who grew excellent award-winning quality corn. When interviewed, the farmer said he shared his seed corn with his neighbors.
The reporter asked, “How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are competing with yours each year?”
“Why sir,” said the farmer, “Didn’t you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn.”
So, it is with our lives… Those who want to live meaningfully and well must help enrich the lives of others, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. The fact is, none of us truly wins, until we all win!!
