We Are Here To Serve You

Our approach to psychotherapy is Psychodynamic or Integrative, founded on an African centred psychological understanding, the underpinning philosophy of Ubuntu. Ubu, the interrelatedness of all humanity, indivisible wholeness; and NTU pronounced IN-TO) refers to the universal/unifying life force, the capacity for self-healing. We are mindful of the effects of all forms of oppression in particular those forms that have been internalised.

About Our Therapy

Our therapy is wholistic, it pays attention to personal, racial and cultural identity development and physical and spiritual wellbeing facilitating self-definition and self determination.
We specialise in working with people of African, African Caribbean ancestry. However, as a genuinely generic service, we offer counselling to all ethnic groups, men and women with the full range of human suffering, and those who have a medical diagnosis of mental illness including psychosis.
Since 2003 Pattigift has developed a reputation for providing the very best in African centred psychotherapy and counselling.
